This is my matryoshka sailor, 10 minutes after it was finished. Inspired by my father, a retired seaman who always remembered to bring home a traditional russian doll at the end of his voyages! It’s my third tattoo and by far my most favorite!

This is my second tattoo I got a year ago at Tuff Luck in Carbondale, Ill. It’s my favorite verse from La Dispute’s song “Sad Prayers for Guilty Bodies.” It says “What is life without a purpose? What is purpose without love?” It inspires me on a daily basis to only do things in life that I really love to do.

“Mo Cuishle” means “my darling, my blood” in gaelic. It’s from the movie Million Dollar Baby.
I have a daughter 4 year old named Júlia. My sister was living in Ireland (where people talk gaelic) when I discovered that I was pregnant and I missed her so much. I saw this movie and stayed really touched by him.
When my daughter born she had round eyes. I don’t like tattoos with names of people so I decided to make a swallow with round eyes and named Mo Cuishle cause she is my darling, my blood.

I got a peacock feather because peacocks have the ability to eat poisonous things and survive - my life has been FULL of poisonous people, and situations. Its a reminder that i made it through all that, and that im going strong.

A semicolon, engraved on the right side of my neck.
My first tattoo, acting as the “either” to my “neither” tattoo above my left hipbone. Apart from that, it represents nothing more than pure aesthetic taste. The semicolon is my favourite tool of punctuation (though I use it sparingly, as it should be), and I think it’s very pretty.
