I got this tattoo about a month after I turned 18 as a symbol for my favorite game as a child, Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This was my first tattoo and I would like to continue to add onto it and have a zelda sock on my leg.
I got it done at Red Line Tattoos in Fresno, CA by Dan. He did an awesome job, and was really nice to a scared little girl getting her first tattoo XD
These are my first ever tattoos, and probably my last. I’ve loved the idea for a very long time, and it’s the only one that i’ve never got bored of, and never will. I got the idea from greek mythology which i’ve loved ever since i was a little kid, and they are based on the messenger God Hermes, who has winged shoes. They were done and designed by Rob Richardson @ Immortal Arts in Carlisle, England. Immortal Arts is an incredible place who only tattoo original designs, and they are just all round amazing in every way! I love my wings so much, they are so much better then i could have ever imagined them to be!

I got this tattoo 2 years ago and one month before my friend Jarrett’s one year death anniversary. I wanted to get roses in yellow and white but since I have olive skin, my tattoo artist talked me out of it. I pretty much told my tattoo artist what I wanted done and drew up the sketch in less than 10 minutes.
My friend, Jarrett Trent Mahaa (the initials in the banner) died on January 14, 2010. He and 2 others were on their way to Daytona for work when one of the truck’s tires blew out. Jarrett was unfortunately not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the car and hit the pavement where he immediately died. It was such a great loss for me and all my friends, including his family. I look at this tattoo everyday and I will never regret having his initials on my body. I even got it on my left arm so when I hold my arm to my side, the heart is touching my heart.
My tattoo artist is Juan Castellano and he works at Kadillac Tattoo in Jacskonville, Fl. He is extremely talented and has done 4 of my 5 tattoos.

This is my gye nyame tattoo (taken a day after I got it, that’s why it’s still messy). Gye nyame is a symbol from Ghana that represents the supremacy and omnipresence of God. My aunt was a missionary in Ghana for thirty years before I was born and for me, personally, this symbol is a representation of the year that I’ve had. 2011 and rough for me and I wouldn’t have gotten through the year without my faith. God has given me everything I have.

Spaceman Spiff is one of my favorite contemporary heroes. Here he’s crash-landed on an alien planet- there’s no going home. But instead of whining about his fate he goes forward into an unknown adventure.

This is my first tattoo…a 21st Birthday present to myself. I have a major problem not being able to let go of my past or forgive myself for things I’ve done that I’m not proud of. Depression and extreme anxiety has held me back. This tattoo represents exactly what I want to achieve; free myself from the past and learn to love who I am.

First big piece done by Mike Decay of Bambu Tattoo in Providence, RI. The anchor and statement of “I refuse to sink” represent my refusal to fall short of what I want in life and my drive to push forward no matter what. On the helm are the coordinates of my hometown, where i learned everything in terms of social and physical survival and where I grew up in general.
This is by far my favorite tattoo. It only took about an hour to do and was an amazing experience.
