My 3rd tattoo, which I got at the end of my 3 & 1/2 months backpacking through Europe. It’s a tie-in with The Hobbit, which I’ve always loved, and my desire to travel and continue adventuring. It’s my biggest tattoo thus far, and was done by Bartt at OhhMyGod Tattoo Studio, in London, England.
Done by Kiefer Lilley at Cherubs Tattoo Parlour in Devizes, Wiltshire, United Kingdom. This was my first major tattoo, and I was so pleased with it.

My completed Japanese-inspired half sleeve.
The kanji in the middle is Japanese; it says “heion”, which means “tranquil” as in a state of mind. Around it are the four elements, earth, fire, air and water. The background goes from space down to a river where my koi lives amongst the lotus. Done by Ant at Ascension Custom Dermagraphics in Orlando, FL.
My second and favorite tattoo so far: a beautiful red fox with feathers dangling from it’s ears. Done by Dale at Art Gecko Tattoo in West Boylston, Massachusetts.
My first tattoo, done in American Typewriter, 72 pt. font. I wanted something vintage, something real, and something that wasn’t elegant. Because life is not elegant, even at the best of times; it’s short, bold, and to the point.
This was a reminder to myself, a command really, to start living my life to its fullest, to stop drifting around in a sea of mediocrity. Because being alive is different than merely existing. Until the day I die, this will always be burned onto my skin, and that’s the way it should be.
