When I was a little girl, I couldn’t pronounce ‘girl’ correctly, so when my great uncle would call me a little boy I would correct him saying “nu uh, I’ma gir!”… Years later, my father and I came across a cartoon, Invader Zim, that we both fell in love with, especially a character called Gir. Its been an inside joke between us, and we’ve been planning on getting these tattoos for a while.
Mine is brand new, his is a few months old.

This is my friend’s matching tattoo to mine, she wanted me to submit it for her. We both love this lyric so much and knew we had to get it tattooed the second we heard “Kill Your Hereos” by AWOLNATION for the first time. This quote means a lot to both her and I. I love both our tattoos. Jon Hill at The Salty Dog in Fort Worth, Texas did an incredible job on both of our tattoos.
