This is my first tattoo. I knew I wanted something geometric, something intricate, and something that I hopefully wouldn’t regret by my mid-twenties. As for the meaning behind it….I just really like eyes; how they symbolize a gateway to the soul of the person or animal they belong to. I like to observe people and to hear their stories.

If it weren’t for my friends in these last few weeks, I wouldn’t be here. This is a tattoo in honour of those that are helping me out of the darkness. Not all of them understand depression or mental health illnesses, but the fact they care has meant the utter world. They’re helping me to rebuild and for that, I am truly grateful.
