Ive always had a fascination with teeth ever since i was little. I used to pull out my molars and hide them from the tooth fairy so i could look at them whenever i was in elementary school. When I was a junior in High school I applied to a college prep art school which was pretty hard to get into but I ended up getting accepted. It was a really hard to adjust and be a new kid when i was 17. I chose teeth as my concentration for my portfolio but halfway through the year my friend died of a drug overdose, i was still dealing with my first major breakup, my sister being hospitalized, and being diagnosed with a disease. I told my teachers I wasn’t finishing my portfolio but they pushed me to complete. This tattoo isn’t just about how bad ass i think teeth look, its about reminding myself that I can do anything, as cheesy as that sounds.
