The Conjoined twin image comes from the cover of a book on the struggles, loves, and triumphs of Human Oddities. The image and message of the book resonated with me and I feel like the conjoined twins accurately represent how I feel about my mental health.
On their faces was a strangely luminous smile.
I know now what it indicates-
they had met tragedy and fought it to a standstill;
they had taken a handicap
and turned it inside out,
making it work for them;
with courage and patience
they built themselves a life
