My very first tattoo.
My dad has been playing guitar and singing ever since I can remember. The first song that I ever memorized/remember him playing was “Push” by Matchbox Twenty. Not only did my dad shape my love for music, but if not for him, I wouldn’t be here today. This tattoo is not only a tribute to him, but to everything I have made it through. I got it in white ink because it resembles my scars from years of self injury, but instead of being a reminder of how low and miserable I was, it will forever remind me that it is possible to push through all the hurt, anger, anxiety, and sadness in the world, and find more hope and happiness than ever imagined.
