I have wanted this tattoo for almost 6 years before I decided to put it on my body. My entire life, I grew up and followed this quote. As times got hard in my teenage years this quote was what kept my hopes high. Then after losing two of the most important people in my life (one from cancer and the other from a train accident) this quote had more meaning than it ever had before. The entire quote is “God grant me the serenity, to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change them when I can, and the wisdom to know the difference” During the hardships my family and I have endured throughout the years, this quote always reminded me that some things in life cannot be changed and the only thing left to do is accept them. But when it is possible, I should always welcome change.
