Steve has a fractured skull, crazy trademark eyes that have bags under them that have their own bags under THEM, his teeth look like they’re from a Gorillaz comic book. People with today’s beauty standards encrypted deep in their brains still can’t decide if they’re scared by his face or whethe it makes them want to laugh. But still, for some reason Terry Zwigoff did say “Every woman has a thing for Steve Buscemi.” Before Steve started playing psychopaths, losers and nerds, he was a firefighter, had an ice cream truck, did stand-up, and carried boxes. He says he never had a girlfriend in highschool and that he’ll never “fix” his teeth, and he always defends his most disgusting characters, and he’s extremely proud of his role in an underground film about gays, and is planning to direct a film based on “Queer” by W. Burroughs. While some girls sigh at posters of picture-perfect superstars, others have shrines full of photos of Steve from “parting glances” and “ghost world” on their walls, framed with felt hearts covered in glitter, complete with a candle. And while they still fangirl and obsess over him, I think the world is an okay place to live in. This is my tribute.
