This is my MF DOOM mask tattoo I got done in June By Heath Rave at Speakeasy tattoo.
I got this tatoo because of what the mask represents not necessarily the artists himself(he isnt my favorite artist) the mask represents the dichotomy between what Hip-Hop music is largely about now(how many women you are having sex with,the types of intoxicants you are putting into your body,what brand of clothes you are wearing, etc…. in short everything except the music) and what it was and in my opinion should still be about(the art,the poetry,the music). I chose this version of the mask taken from the cover of the Madvillian album because its such a powerful image.
He wears a mask just to cover the raw flesh a rather ugly brother with flows thats gorgeous~MF DOOM
