I just got this on my right forearm. It’s based off of this explodingdog drawing.

I’ve been in love with Sam Brown’s drawings for over four years now, and I still check the site (as well as the tumblr) for updates religiously. So many of the drawings, for lack of a better word, “speak” to me, alongside the phrases and sayings within several of them. Literally hundreds of them remind me of and take me back to certain people, places, and times of my current life and my past. They sort of define me, in a way.

This was done by Johnny Kurtz at Authentic Art Tattoo in Ann Arbor, MI. :)

This is my very first tattoo representing my mother and I’s journey and I am absolutely in love it. Matt Matik of 2 Spirit Tattooo did an amazing job. He is also just an all around cool guy. I could not have asked for a better artist and tattoo.

The hubby and I got Peter Pan inspired wedding tattoos yesterday at Electric Blue Tattoo in Mission, BC!

“I think it’s perfectly sweet of you,” she declared, “and I’ll get up again,” and she sat with him on the side of the bed. She also said she would give him a kiss if he liked, but Peter did not know what she meant, and he held out his hand expectantly.

“Surely you know what a kiss is?” she asked, aghast.

“I shall know when you give it to me,” he replied stiffly, and not to hurt his feeling she gave him a thimble.

“Now,” said he, “shall I give you a kiss?” and she replied with a slight primness, “If you please.” She made herself rather cheap by inclining her face toward him, but he merely dropped an acorn button into her hand, so she slowly returned her face to where it had been before, and said nicely that she would wear his kiss on the chain around her neck. It was lucky that she did put it on that chain, for it was afterwards to save her life.

This is my first tattoo, which I got on my 18th birthday.

I’d been wanting it for a while, so I decided to go ahead and do it as soon as I could.

I got this in memory of my dad. My dad was blind and he passed away when I was three years old. This says “strength” in Braille as a reminder of his life, and as a reminder that I can make it through anything, even when I underestimate myself.
