Got this done for my daddy, he rode a harley and our hour long rides are one of the few good memories I have. He passed away 6 years ago, finally of age to get something for him, I absolutely love it. Done by Patrick of Liberty Tattoo Co in Smithtown New York.

I got this back in June a couple of days after my 18th. :)

This tattoo was done from one of my own paintings, I decided to use my own design because its a reminder to myself to have faith in my own work, especially as I was having a tough time after being rejected from art school. I decided on a bow because a bow is a reminder to myself that life is a gift and not to take anything for granted. (as cliché as that is)

I have a soft spot for Japanese art and tattoos. I also think Jellyfish are awesome little creatures. So I ended up with this pink and orange jelly on my arm. :)

The bird and boat were chosen as a reminders to myself of who I want to be - a person who moves freely towards new and unknown places in life. The style was intended to be alike that of a Chinese painting, as a nod to my culture that has played an enormous role in shaping my personal identity. The tech-looking, crumbling moon in the top right was chosen as a testament to my love for science and understanding that all things in the universe have their course. I wasn’t sure if the contrasting styles between the two components would work out, but in the end I have to say I couldn’t be happier with my first tattoo. Huge thanks to Alan for doing such a fantastic job and helping with the design.
