This is my first tattoo and it means so much to me. The lyrics are from the OAR song The Fallout. To me, it is a reminder to always do what you know is right. Lions usually represent wisdom and guidance and power, but only when the lion himself takes his advice can he be magnificent. It is saying to practice what you preach and that no matter what you you say to anyone, your own actions speak louder than words. You can give people advice and tell them what is right/wrong all day long, but if you don’t follow your own beliefs in your day to day life, your word is nothing.

I got it when I graduated high school because of the whole “lotus flowers blossom out of mud” reason. I didn’t quite realize who I was and who I wanted to be until I got out of school.

This is my first tattoo (I’m in the middle) and I got it...
This is my first tattoo (I’m in the middle) and I got it with my dad (left) and older brother (right) the day after my 18th birthday. Both my brother and I were born and raised in Providence, RI, and the symbol for Rhode Island is an anchor so we decided to get it tatted together. My brother’s is the emblem on our state flag, mine just an outline, and my dad’s has the anchor with Dr. Seuss’s “One Fish” wrapped around. My sister is going to get her anchor when she turns 18, and my mom is waiting to get one with her.
These 3 were done at Hope Street Tattoo in Providence RI. Mine/my dad’s were done by Luke and my brother’s was done by Jonathan. They’re just two of several amazing artists in that shop, so if you live in Southern New England, or are ever passing through it’s definitely worth a trip.

I am absolutely obsessed with Giraffes and i just had to have this done. In a way since im a burn survivor i say im sort of like a giraffe with it’s spots i have my spots and im also tall. Had a great first experience getting my ribs tattooed.
