We’re working on making my right arm look great with some old school style stuff which includes now a custom gypsy, a rose, and now my cute little teapot. I got this one because I love how beautiful teapots can look, I’m a huge Alice in Wonderland fan and I think it looks so feminine.
When I got my first tattoo by him (my beautiful gypsy woman on my arm) I started to feel more comfortable walking around in short sleeve shirts. As a bigger girl I’ve always hated my arms a lot, but now with the amazing art I have on it I feel more beautiful than ever.

This is my first tattoo done by Thomas Blomquist at Stuck Tattoo in Kungsholmen Stockholm. He is a friend of a friend that I met last year, and after meeting him I knew that I wanted him to give me my first tattoo as soon as I turned 18. I think he did an amazing job.

The tattoo is so so special to me, and it signifies a lot. It is my eye inside of a lotus mandala. My eye - symbolic of awakening, the evil eye (a protectorate), and more so my eye within the mandala is symbolic of my place within the cosmos, and its dwelling within me, thus explaining the mandala somewhat. Also, accidentally, there is a reflection of a window in this, so that too adds to the awakening element - the window to my soul even.

I wanted a lotus mandala specifically because they often symbolise spiritual awakening - the are the most pure and perfect flowers, and they stem out of dirty, unclean water. They are something beautiful that derives from mess. The eight petals also resemble the Buddhist Noble Eightfold Path - Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration.

Ah, I love it!

My first tattoo. I got it last tuesday and it’s made by Henni from truemmertattoo, Berlin. It took about two hours, it was horrible pain, but I really really love it :)

My second tattoo, Siamese fighting fish (Betta) on my ribs. I’m getting coloured in in 3 weeks, so excited :)

For my late father - September 26th, 2010. From Simon and Garfunkel - The Boxer. It reads, ‘the fighter still remains,’ and has a stethoscope and boxing glove because he was a physician and pro fighter. Done by Chubbs at Bombs Away 1 in Jacksonville, NC. It was a great and emotional experience, he gave it to me as a gift while I was in mourning.

This was my first tattoo. Done by Billy Jordan at Tattoo Zone in Mobile, Alabama.

It’s an Azalea flower with the quote, “There’s no place like home,” from Wizard of Oz. The Azalea is the flower of my hometown, Mobile, Alabama. I got it to express how much I’ve loved growing up in this city and how I feel that it made me a lot of who I am. Although I may not stay here my entire life, I’ll always love and appreciate my hometown.

this is my first tattoo, done at Voodoo Tattoo in Gosford, NSW, Australia. the drawing is a snake inside a boa constrictor, and it’s from the book ‘The Little Prince’. the meaning of it is you have great truths within you if only one would bother to look.
