This is my first tattoo. It’s an Indian Lacrosse stick. I decided on this tattoo for many different reasons. I’ve played the sport since I was 10 years old, but its much more than that. This lacrosse stick represents the people I’ve grown up with. They haven’t been just team mates. They’ve been my family. I’ve been with these girls through everything. The loss of friends and family members. Through the times of sorrow and times of joy. Just about everything. Because of this sport I met the people that have shaped me into the person I am today, and I want the reminder always that who I am now is who I always want to be. To remember the people who mean the most to me now, and hopefully will mean just as much in the future.

Why yes, that is a Storm Trooper in the quintessential Burt Reynolds pose. The sash around his body will be pink, as if a breast cancer ribbon.
All because my mom bet me I could not incorporate Star Wars and breast cancer in one tattoo (also because Star Wars has been a big part of my life and my family includes breast cancer survivors blah blah blah).
First session, it’s an apprentice tattoo, and a very small needle was used so some lines fell out. All will be fixed in good time. :)

I got this tattoo to cover up my ex boyfriend’s name and I really couldn’t be happier with the result. I have always loved flowers and their representation of growth. It is a big, bold tattoo and I will never forget my ex boyfriend because he allowed me to get this amazing tattoo to cover up his name! :)

This is my jackalope on my left thigh. Tom Earhart had a concept for this tattoo…and once he drew it, I was in love with it. There’s no deep-seated meaning behind it. It’s just fun and silly and an amazing tattoo that is easily one of my favorites.
Done by Tom Earhart at the Canvas Tattoo Studio in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

So this is my first tattoo, it’s a phoenix feather inspired by the rainbow wing on Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal (I’m a pokefan since I was a kid). I’ve always wanted a feather tattoo then while I was searching designs on google I saw this one and I fell in love instantly. Anyway, I wanted this one because Phoenix symbolized reborn and resurrection, which brings new hope or something like that. It reminds me how we should pick ourselves up whenever we are down. Like phoenix, they die in flames then rises again from the ashes eventually. That’s how I picture it, that in every life struggle we face, there’s always hope so we shouldn’t let it beat us down. Stand and fight :)

This is my third tattoo! It is a cancer care ribbon being held by three doves and holds a ton of meaning to me; three of my grandparents passed away from multiple kinds of cancer and my grandmother’s favourite song was “Wings of a Dove,” by Ferlin Husky, so it made sense to incorporate that animal into the tattoo design.
This was done by Kendall at Evolution Ink here in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. She does amazing work and had turned my idea of the tattoo (seen here) into what you see in the picture. I would highly recommend her because this tattoo is amazing and I am absolutely in love with it!

disney has always been a big part of my life. it’s my shoulder to lean on that’s always there and always cheers me up. the past year has been pretty hard on me and disney is the main thing that kept me going and hoping. i wanted to get something that would remind me to always stay young at heart, have faith and never forget the love i have for these movies.
