this is my first tattoo. it reads, “Pursuit of Happiness” across my ribs on my left side near my heart. I got this done on december 26th, at Cliffs tattoos by Chris. i love my tattoo, to me this means:

Got my first tattoo today and I’m really proud of it. I used to get made fun of a lot for being straight edge, and I still often do. It used to suck a lot. But Ive decided that no matter what anyone says, I’m proud of who I am and the morals I have. Ive got nothing to hide anymore.

“The Sun is gone, Though I have a Light” lyrics from Dumb by Nirvana. I got this as a reminder to myself that no matter how bad things get there’s always something good, whether it be family or friends, or even just small things that make you smile. I also got this to pay tribute to Kurt Cobain, the greatest musical mind to ever walk the Earth. Done @ Splash Of Color Tattoos in East Lansing, MI by Perry Stratton, he’s amazing at what he does. I highly recommend him.

This is the tattoo I got for my mom. She passed away May 5, 2011. My mom and I would always find little tea shops and shared a love for tea. Everyday since I was a little girl she would tell me “I love you Ginny,” and I would reply “how much?” She would always respond with a smile and say “I’ll love you to the moon and beyond.”
