Okay, this is getting fucking ridiculous. I don’t care about your rules, you’re full within your rights as an admin to not want to post NSFW stuff, but you are posting more “warnings” than you are tattoos, and furthermore you’re being crazy rude about it.
As a previous admin of a large forum, I know it’s incredibly frustrating for people to continuously break the same rule over and over again, but I feel pretty certain that your level of gross snarkiness regarding this issue is exactly WHY you’d seem to be getting such an influx of them lately. Just delete them, block them, and be done. This constant barrage of rudeness is so assaulting to long time followers as well as new, and it’s obviously not working for you anyways.
In any case, unfollowed, and I’ll go ahead and ignore whatever smarmy response you decide to post (as evidenced from your past such reactions.)
I’m sorry if these posts have annoyed you, but please understand that I’m not frustrated about rule-breaking or personal discomfort (though it does make me uncomfortable).
I’m not receiving any more nudes than usual; I’m just tired of tolerating it and trying to work around them. This blog is an absolute time vampire at its best. I’ll clear 500+ submissions in a day and log in a couple days later to almost 1000 in their place. I have a backlog of ~~6,000~~ 8,500 submissions right now, and I am one person (with 50-hour work weeks).
I’m nearing a point where I may have to step down or delete because the nudes ensure that I can’t do anything with the blog during the very few periods of idle free-time I actually do have during the week: on break at work.
So, no, I’m not frustrated. I’m absolutely livid that this unsolicited bullshit may kill a thing I love and have spent literally the last EIGHT years of my life cultivating.
I don’t think that’s inappropriate.
I also understand your frustration, but raging at every one of your followers about your rules doesn’t seem to be working.
People often overlook blog rules, as they hear about it from a friend or see it on a site, and think, “Hmmm. I want to submit my tattoo!” And they may submit a tattoo in a private area. It happens.
As a long time follower, I do find it slightly unnerving that you are dismantling your own blog, by your own hands.
Your blog - which features tattoos - has become nothing but a frequent board for your rules, rather than a tattoo blog. Your submission publishing has gone down and your repost of the nudity rule has continued to go up.
I will continue following you, mainly because I have been with you for years now. But my friendly advice would be not to accomplish what you are trying so hard to prevent.
Your negative personality is driving people away, as well as taking away from your blog’s content, and your message is only further reducing the amount of submissions you post.
Work hard at what you love and don’t be the downfall you have tried so hard to avoid.

Dude, you should totally never offer friendly advice to people if anything you wrote there is truly your idea of friendly. I mean, I’d actually have preferred if you’d told me to shut up, sent nudes, or unfollowed over subjecting me to all that faux-nice, full-of-shit condescension.

And, FYI, my complaints haven’t decreased the number or frequency of tattoos posted. Every photo you see on the blog is posted automatically from the queue on a fixed time schedule. If anything, my complaining actually denotes an increase in tattoos posted because I only complain when I’m sorting hundreds of submissions in one sitting–meaning that the queue is always exceptionally full when you see a complaint.

I’m just saying you didn’t have to make shit up–you’re allowed to just not want to hear it. But thanks for your pretend concern and unsolicited commentary on my personality.

Couldn’t this be solved by asking someone to be a secondary admin to your blog?

It could, yeah. But the issue with adding another admin is the way Tumblr handles it: once you make someone an admin, you can never take away their admin privileges or get them off your blog. So, I can really only add someone whom I trust a lot. And, like, almost all of the people on Tumblr who fall into that category are either just as busy as I am or are uninterested in helping with it.
