This is my Harry Potter inspired tattoo.
I got it done in Dark Side Tattoo Society Studio in Athens, Greece by Nickolas Martinos.
Harry Potter has been for me, as it has been for many people that grew up with the books and movies, a great support system as well as the place I would go when I felt anxious about something or even just bored.
I love the wizardly word that J. K. Rowling has created for me, with all its little details.
"Mischief Managed" is a spell, a wizard would say as they tapped a magical map that would show where everyone in Hogwarts was.
Once they where done checking where professors or students or other magical creatures were, they would tap the map, say “Mischief Managed’ and the magical map would turn into a plain piece of “paper”.
As it is a spell and it would make things disappear, I chose to have it done in white ink, with minimal shadows, inside an oldschool banner.
I love the way it turned out! It is very special to me and I adore the fact that you have to pay attention to read what is says.

"Born Into Hate" is a portion of a song lyric from the band MyChildren MyBride, with the rest reading "We Are Eternal". In the future, I’ll be getting an angel on my right calf with those lyrics above it, similar to what’s shown here. It speaks to my beliefs in that this world we’re born into is nothing but hateful, but there’s more than just this life waiting for us.

I got all my fingers tattooed at Artistic Demographics in Boardman, Ohio by Jeremy. He did a really amazing job.
Each tattoo has a different meaning to me.
The heart on my pinky goes with the ‘promise’ tattoo I have on that finger that matches one my boyfriend has. Basically it means- I pinky promise to love him forever.
The cupcake is a reminder to always stay sweet.
The puzzle piece is because I have a type of Autism called Aspergers.
The anchor reminds me not to sink.
(if you can see it) The camera on my thumb is because I love photography.
(if you can see it) The bow on my other thumb is because I wear bows all the time.
The pizza is because it’s my favorite food.
The cross is a reminder to never lose faith.
The diamond is a reminder to always shine bright.
And the Aum is a symbol of keeping an open mind and being peaceful.

Paul is a local tattoo artist who lazered both of his sleeves off and is getting two new sleeves from me simultaneously. This is the beginning of a peacock sleeve on his left arm. I had to draw this on his arm to work around some of the remnants of his laser work. Laser tattoo removal is so much more painful than tattooing. There is a lot of pain and dedication involved with removing two sleeves. With so much already invested in removal, it is an honor to be trusted with the design and application of these new tattoos.
