This is my newest piece done by Sean Ambrose from Arrows and Embers Tattoo. This album is very near and dear to my heart so it only made sense to make it a part of me, literally.

My first tattoo, designed by myself, freshly done. Inspired by vampire glyphs/kryptonian writing.

Within each glyph is an initial of mine in Morse code. Each one also represents my present, past, future, and family and friends, respectively. It serves as a constant reminder that in whatever I do, never to allow others’ judgments of me to affect how I act, to always keep moving forward no matter what obstacles present themselves, to remember the past and learn from it, and to keep in mind the important people that have come and gone from my life at all times and remind myself that they are where I draw my strength and inspiration from.

Eve and The Serpent - Done by Bo Dillard @ Peacocks Tattoo

Original Artwork by Adam Isaac Jackson

I remember the story of Adam of Eve very clearly. I grew up with my grandparents, who were extremely religious. Despite that I am not religious now, the story still interested me, and I thought the example Eve set was perfect for why I got this tattoo.

People react in so many predictable ways, sometimes in ways that aren’t necessary, in ways that aren’t exactly ideal - whatever their reasoning may be. People say, do, and think things that may not reach my approval. But I don’t get angry or distressed over it, because it is completely human tendency for people to act the way they do. Even if I did something that I felt was for a good cause. No good deed goes unpunished.

I think Eve set the perfect example. In the story, she had only been created moments ago. Her personality had no yet developed yet, so she was especially naive to anything, believing whatever she was told by whoever. It was too easy to deceive her. This is the way people are - not just like Eve, but with anything. Whether it’s easy to get them mad, easy to make them cry, easy to make them excited, anything. We’re all easily set off in some way, whether if it’s good or bad. This tattoo is a beautiful reminder of that, so that I can keep it in mind and continue doing what I do in life.

My girlfriend and I decided we were going to buy each other tattoos for Christmas. This one (taken right after I got it) is for my Grandfather, who passed away a few years ago. He was a carpenter, hence the hammer, and “Tell Him I’m Gone” is from the Leadbelly song, “Take this Hammer.” Aron Matthews at 7th Street Tattoo in Little Rock, AR did the tattoo for me. I’ve gotten my last two tattoos from him and intend to get my future ones from him as well.

This is my giraffe, 2 days out! It is on my right arm across the front of my bicep. He’s one of a few tattoos I have as a lil’ homage to my time spent in South Africa, which you can see the outline of in this picture. I have always loved giraffes and am so excited to finally have this tattoo! Done by MIke at 22 Tattoo in Jackson, WY.

I really enjoy making bird tattoos.  When I was approached by my client about this tattoo I was pretty excited as well when she requested black and grey since I am always asked for full color.  Made by Mark VanNess @ Oak City Tattoo in Raleigh, North Carolina

This was a memorial tattoo for my clients friend who passed last year.  They use to greet each other by saying “Hello Lemon.”  I did this tattoo freehand.  My name is Mark VanNess @ Oak City Tattoo in Raleigh, North Carolina

I guess my first try didn’t work, so here we go again:

It’s my first tattoo right on the evening when it was done. It took about 6 hours and the pain was … okay ;)

Design was made by a good friend and it means a lot to me. It took years to get it. I had to take blood thinners for what feels like ages, but now i’m so glad it was finally done.

Just got this done at Chameleon Ink in Bellingham, WA. The symbol is inspired by Divergent (by Veronica Roth), and it represents the Dauntless, one of five factions of government in a dystopian Chicago. The Dauntless motto: “We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.”

A few months of travel last summer really made me appreciate the surroundings I had taken advantage of all my life. I am from Montana, and the biggest thing about here is the “big sky”. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous and always take my breathe away. The mountains and valley below will be finished with my next session, along with the galaxy that will be up on my shoulder.

I had previously thought about getting an Eye of Ra, but brushed it aside, but the other day I found this design and instantly fell in love with.  I like what the eye symbolizes and how each part of the eye represents one of the six senses.  The tattoo was done by Allan Brass at Jagged Edge in Fredericksburg, VA.

I got my tattoo done at Planet Ink by an awesome guy named Wes Holland in Austell, GA. It is my first tattoo and it’s a Pikachu. I customized it and made it my own. Some people might think my tattoo is random because it’s a Pokemon but, I can truly say I’m one of the “original” fans of Pokemon. I got this tattoo to symbolize the fun times I had as a kid. Me, my brother and my grandma would stand outside Toy’s R Us when each card generation came out just to buy the packs. I played in the “Pokemon leagues” held at bookstores and collected original Pokemon cards. I saw Pokemon the first movie in theaters just to get the ancient Mew card and would wake up every Saturday morning to watch new episodes of the TV show on Kids WB. I still, to this day play the original red, yellow, blue and nintendo64 games. It’s something that reminds me of my childhood and I’m happy that I grew up with Pokemon. The show means alot to me and each time I look at this tattoo it reminds me of all the fun times I had growing up with it. It may be simple but I will always love this tattoo, i’ll never be too old for Pikachu
