This is my Ursula tattoo. She has always been one of my absolute favorite Disney villain, as well as a great villain in general. I love her sass and I adore how she looks. This was done by Kristin Bonafide at Artisanal Tattoo in Somerville, NJ. 3 hours and 45 minutes. I adore it. :D

This is my new half sleeve. It is an illustration by Nell Brinkley done by the AMAZINGLY talented Megan Emery at Bijou Studio.
The tattoo idea came when I was visiting my brother at his office. He works for Bitch Magazine and they had a library full of feminist literature. I found a book called The Brinkley Girls that contained the most amazing stories and illustrations from 1913 to 1940 by the nearly forgotten pioneer in women’s illustration, Nell Brinkley. After spending an while flipping through the pages, I returned the book to its shelf… daydreaming of the adventures of The Brinkley Girls. A few months later, the book showed up at my doorstep… a gift from my awesome brother. The one I decided to get tattooed on my arm is from a story called “The Adventures of Prudence Prim”. She boldly “disgraces” both her names by gallivanting in the sea in her “smartest bathing suit, with an astounding cap, a pair of dinky sandals and a jump-to-glory wrap”.
Perfection.
Michael Leger did this beautiful Great Horned Owl on my thigh. I named her Big Mama like the owl in the fox and the hound. It’ll be the last piece i’ll have from him for a while because he’s moving a few hours away.

This is my third tattoo done by TJ at TJ Demographics Tattoos in Harrisonburg, VA. After reading the book “Henderson the Rain King”, i fell in love with finding my inner lion. Sometimes channeling a lion can pull me out of my deepest funk. Its also an oath to living like your inner animal. That book made me stronger and changed my life and I am so thrilled that I now have part of that on me.
These are my tattoos that I got done in January of 2011, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by Bryan Merck of Wildside Tattoo. On the right index finger is Obi-Wan Kenobi’s blue lightsaber, and on the left index is Darth Vader’s. Both from Episode IV.
My boyfriend’s tattoo right after it was finished. He got it done at studio1 in Norwood, PA. The tattoo artist was awesome and did a great job. He got the tattoo because his nickname is Bass. The bubbles in the water and the fact that the fish turns into a skeleton as it leaves the water, is because at the end of his senior year of high school he got burns on his whole back and had to miss his graduation. He missed out on his senior week and whole summer because of the burns so it represents what he got through. The tattoo turned out exactly the way he wanted it to.

This was my first tattoo done by Mike Adair, owner of Electric Boogaloo Tattoo in Vancouver, WA. This is on my left inner forearm.
I’ve been a geek all my life and after kicking the MMORPG habit and losing over 150 lbs with hard work and eating right I wanted a tattoo with a “balance” theme. I’ve always dug the biomech look so I came to Mike with the idea.
I sent him pictures of a few generic biomech tattoos, a few of computer circuit boards, and a tribal yin-yang shape. He came back with some sketches of this and I was sold.
This is my tattoo of a black-eyed susan in memory of my mom, Suzanne. The house I grew up in had them all over the yard and my mom and I would always make bouquets with them :)
My sister and I got this tattoo of an anchor with “Daddy” on the inside of it. Daddy is handwritten by my Dad. He’s a huge part in our lives. We grew up with 6 sisters, my mom always leaving my Dad and moving us from home to home. Dad couldn’t get custody of us because he worked very hard every day to support us. My mother was a stay at home mom. Dad did everything he could to make my family happy. The last day my mother left, she walked out without saying goodbye and took one of my sisters with her. She left my Dad, myself, my sister(in the picture), and my little sister at home. I was 15 years old. My father then became my mother figure. He’s all I had, everything I learned was from him. He’s the one I would go to talk about things, even personal things. He’s the only thing that keeps me sane. We chose this tattoo because he is our anchor, he keeps our feet on the ground. No matter what we’re going through, he keeps us grounded, and never lets us sink.

This is my 7th tattoo I got 2 days ago. It’s an Audrey Kawasaki piece that I had stumbled upon and instantly fell in love. It includes my love for her artwork as well as photography, which has always been a hobby of mine.

This is my hibiscus flower. I had this piece of junk on my arm that I HATED. I covered it up with this beautiful piece. I chose a blue and pink flower to symbolize myself and my husband.
I’ve always loved hibiscus flowers and the beauty they symbolize. I got this done by John @ Body Expressions in New Braunfels, TX. I LOVE it.
Took the photo right after I finished getting it done. The elephant represents my mom for her love of the animal. If you were to walk into my home you’d find at least 50 elephant statues and paintings roaming around the house. The year she was born is on the top left hand side of the tattoo.
I did this in two separate sessions; first the outline and then the coloring. This was the first time I’ve ever had shading down from all the tattoos I have and I will say, it’s not the best feeling haha but throughout the time I was getting it done I had my mom there supporting me. She’s my best friend and my mom. She’s the rock that keeps me grounded and to have her there meant the world to me.
I got it done at Tatu’s in Miami, Florida by artist Tatu A.K.A Yurguen Centeno. He’s an AMAZING artist and has been tattooing for over 10 years and also happens to be my brother-in-law c:
I was inspired by tattoos through my mom at a very young age, since then, well… I can’t say I’m a virgin to tattoos anymore =)
