My first Doctor Who related tattoos :D

I watched every single episode of Doctor Who and Torchwood in order, 137 episodes. It took me just under 2 weeks, including working full time. So I thought I’d celebrate by getting a Doctor Who inky (:

It’s the Gallifreyan language (From the Doctors home planet) and it says Space and Time. This was a few hours after I got it done, and it was done by Ya in BellyBar in London (: Well worth the 3 hours of pain (:

My dad passed away last November and when I was going through some old cards, I found one where he signed it “Daddy- P.S. You will always be my babygirl”. When I found the card I knew I wanted it as a tattoo, in his hand writing.

This feather is my first (and hopefully not last!) tattoo. It is a Carson Ellis drawing from a Decemberists poster - one of my favorite bands. I got the tattoo because of my love of birds… and, also, because I loved the drawing. It’s on the inside of my right arm, and didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would!

Done by this cool motherfucker named Marshall Sinclair at Studio Evolve in Virginia Beach, VA. This dude had an absolute blast doing it… and I had a blast getting it done.

A good buddy of mine Kyle Hoffarth did me the honor of making me his 12th tattoo… He’s killing it already. This is deffinatly one of my favorites and the killer bees knees… Wu Tang FOREVER!!!

I had this done in Japan 2 years ago by Brian Haris. We were talking one day when he said he wanted to do an octopus and I told him I always wanted one so we did it. However neither one of us expected the rest of the tattoo to follow. Its really fitting tho because I love and respect the ocean.

My first tattoo. Only took me about 6 years to finally get one. I’ve always loved how sugar skulls can be both creepy and cute at the same time. Plus it reminds me of how we would honour the dead back in the Philippines: holding candlelight vigils at night in graveyards. Since there are a million sugar skulls tattoos out there, I incorporated the Philippine flag into the design and added a moustache and top hat (why not?).

Selecting an artist was a lot easier, thank god. I picked Stephanie Babiarz, who was at Adrenaline in Vancouver. She had amazing colour work and shading. Took around 2.5-3 hours. I was doing alright until the last half hour of pure pain. But it was all worth it!

This is the start of my first tattoo and i love it to pieces. I got it done to show that time isn’t endless and it can be taken in a second as that’s what happened to my nana.

My octopus- done at Deeds of the Flesh in Thornton, Colorado by Jerry. He is an incredibly talented artist and was able to create exactly what I wanted for my first tattoo.
