I just got this tattoo today, it’s a memory tattoo for my father. He was in the NYPD for 20 years and LBFD, he was a first responder to 9/11 and ended up with esophageal and throat cancer from breathing in the toxins. He battled cancer for 4 years, and sadly lost his battle on May 114th of this year. My father was my favorite person in the world, I love him and miss him so much.

Hi!
It’s gotten to a point where, every time someone submits an “I refuse to sink" tattoo, I think about tying myself to an anchor and jumping overboard at the Mariana Trench. And I’m sure I’m going to get flack for daring to remind people that I’m a human being instead of an automated tattoo-blogging machine, but meh. I truly am immensely grateful for every submission and happy for anyone who has a tattoo that makes them proud—I would never want any of you to think differently. But, like, I love raspberry sorbet enough that I would marry it if that were legal and wouldn’t result in me murdering my new spouse with a spoon, but if I had to eat it every day, it wouldn’t even take six months for us to break up and for me to vomit at the word “sorbet". And I’ve literally seen at least one “I refuse to sink" tattoo every single day for years. Years. So yeah, we need to change it up because I want our relationship to last. I CAN’T BE THE ONLY ONE FIGHTING FOR OUR LOVE, DAMN IT. I don’t know where I was going with this.
So, anyway, Happy 4th of July to Americans. And, um, Happy Thursday to everyone else. Wherever you live, may your night be full of explosions and booze.

OMG. You NEED to try it ASAP! It’s like an edible orgasm. A foodgasm.
(A lot of people got mad at me the last time I replied publicly to anyone’s comments… for reasons I don’t understand. So, I clearly don’t know what the proper tattoo-blog-reply etiquette is, but I do know I can only reply privately from my personal blog. And I didn’t want to send you a message from it and be all “OMG you have to try raspberry sorbet!" and come off like some random sorbet-loving psychopath. SO, I’m replying publicly. If you’re not okay with that, just let me know and I’ll delete this… if you buy me sorbet. Well, I’ll delete it even if you don’t buy me sorbet because I’m not awful. I just really want sorbet.)

Now I know you’re all thinking this is just a silly video game/cartoon character I’m getting inked on my body. In a way you can say that, but this tattoo symbolizes something very deep and personal to me. Only a few people will ever truly know what this tattoo means to me, and that’s what makes it so personal and close to my heart. I also got him sitting on a beach with a starfish and a plumeria flower in his ear because I got it done it Hawaii.
I got this done at 808 Tattoo in Oahu by Jennifer.

"Flavored ice" makes me think of something more like a snow cone or even lesser quality Italian ice. Water is often part of the recipe, but, if anything, I’d usually describe sorbet—at least the fruit varieties—as frozen sweetened juice.

Guys. GUYS!
fyeahtattoos just broke character. This is awesome =D
Pfft! I’m just chatting because everyone has been really awesome and friendly tonight. Also I’m drunk-adjacent and ran out of books to read. (I know, I party hard.)
I’d actually love to show a little personality here more often because I like you guys. But it’s a theme blog, so I try not to veer annoyingly off-topic (but I got excited about dessert). Plus, people aren’t always as friendly as tonight, so I also try not to talk on-topic very often either; I stick to what I’m (debatably) good at: posting tattoo photos.
But I’m glad you’re enjoying it because I’m enjoying it, and I’m going to be talking at/with you guys until I go to bed or someone tells me to shut my sorbet-hole, whichever happens first.

I know this has nothing to do with tattoos or sorbet...
But can we talk about TV for just a second? I need some new stuff to watch. The summer season used to be all about Leverage for me, but they canceled it (and I hate them for it). So, right now, I’m only really into Teen Wolf and Falling Skies. (I watch a few others but not with the same obsessive enthusiasm). And I tend to gravitate mostly toward sci-fi/fantasy shows and cop dramas, but other recommendations are welcome too.
So, yeah, what shows are you really liking right now?
