My mom and dad provided an extraordinary childhood for my sisters and I. My dad built our house, while my mom made our house a home. We had chickens to provide us with eggs, an orchard to provide endless apples and plumbs, a fruitful garden that provided fresh produce for our meals, and a bee hive that allowed us to harvest fresh honey. We didn’t have any sort of cable for most of my years there, so I built tree forts, had non stop adventures with my two wonderful sisters around our property, and I spent a great deal of my time in the creek located in our back yard. That creek was my playground. It taught me that the environment, in it’s natural and balanced state, is the only thing in this world that is perfect. This eventually lead me to getting my degree in Environmental Management/ Hydrology & Watershed Management. Not many people can say that they had an amazing childhood. I am one of those lucky few, and I owe it to my mom, dad, sisters, and our unforgettable little house in the redwoods by the creek. My parents had to sell the property shortly after I moved away after high school… This inspired my tattoo of a redwood sprig, and coordinates of our house and my favorite spot in our creek written in my mom, dad, and two sisters handwriting. It’s a reminder that no matter what happens in my life, no one can ever take those 18 years in paradise away from me. It will always be a part of me, and now that is visible.

This is my first and only tattoo. I got it when I was 16 years old (one year ago). I got at Reykjavík INK witch is located in the capital city of Iceland. Zack from Texas is the tattooist.

This was taken about an hour after I got it done so that is why it is still a little bloody. It was well worth the pain though! I love this piece of art and it means so much to me.
I got it for my grandparents and my friend who was in a horrific car accident but survived.
