“Obliviate” is a memory charm/spell from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It is my most favorite of all the thousand spells because for me, as far as my life’s interpretation is concerned, this means to forget all the bad memories and keep the good ones.

My tattoo was done by Josh at Evolution Tattoo in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. I used to live my life with a lot of regret and this Bon Iver lyric really told me to just move on and accept it because you can’t change life. just enjoy it.

The one on the left is my “compass to the cosmos”, basically reinforcing the idea that creativity, love and trust will always guide me correctly, and that North, South, East and West, are just limitations on my reality; I can explore every possible dimension and Universe I can imagine. And also a reminder to trust everything, follow my instincts, and be aware of all of these enchanted alignments of the everyday.

Then the one of the right represents my balance of light and dark. The infinite, eternal cosmic cycle of existence. Underneath the circles it reads “Brumanda Ku Masus” which is Nepali for “feelings of the Universe” (again with this Universe theme)

Biz was awesome, safe, talented, reliable, dedicated….and a wonderfully sweet guy. I recommend Mohan’s if you’re ever in Nepal and want a spiritual, intricate, safe tatt; head on over there.

my second tattoo! i got this for my dad. when i was little we lived on a small lake, and every year on Opening Day of Fishing, we’d wake up at the crack of dawn, get donuts and chocolate milk, and fish until we caught something (sometimes -usually- all day).
