Newest tattoos! Got them done at Boneface Tattoo. I have biomechanical wings on each ankle, you know, so I can fly away and be a trickster God(ess) like Hermes.

I was going to get them on my back (I wanted them there when I was younger) but decided on my ankles because of Hermes and that I have a small body and want to use my back for other tattoos.

Custom Dark Knight logo

I was originally planning to get the (animated series) batman logo on my back but my friend Nate had this design he did himself and I absolutely loved it.
Batman was always my favorite childhood comic book character. When I was 7, I underwent surgery again and, friends & family gave me batman gifts which meant a whole lot to me and it still does.

My best friend died when I was 16, he always called me his owl when he was alive. I wanted my first tattoo to be a little piece of him, as well as representing freedom as I had it done on my 18th birthday, so this was the perfect tattoo for both of those meanings for me.

2012 has been the most physically, mentally, and spiritually challenging year so far in our lives. My sister and I thought this piece was the best way to commemorate the challenges we have overcome as we continue to move forward into the new year.

The font is our mother’s handwriting. Red vegan ink to symbolize the “Red String Theory”. The actual words “be calm, carry on” are from the two songs entitled by the band Fun. Each song represents individual meaning to us but together (and ironically) complete one another.
