This is my 6th piece. My Phoenix tattoo adding to the rebirth theme created by my Banksy piece, a total of 5 and a half hours; excuse the hair.

This experience was comical to say the least; my best friend and I went on a Saturday night to Fat Kats in Ocala, FL, almost randomly. I walked in, met Dan, and he talked about his pregnant wife the whole fifteen minutes it took for him to tattoo me. Apparently, they’re having the baby naturally and she’s going to be on her knees while doing so. Yes, he said “they’re” so I’m going to say “they’re” having the baby naturally.

I decided to get this tattoo to remind myself to continue writing; every morning I wake up and look it in the mirror to challenge myself to write something that I’m proud of that day.

This is the tattoo that I got done on 11/1/2012. I got it done at Bodytech in Gainesville, Florida by Kyle. He does amazing work! I got the great blue heron to symbolize the time that I have spent at Camp Crystal so far and being on the Suwannee River during the summer. The river and camp have changed my life and the way I think about things. This tattoo has a lot of meaning to me.

I had wanted a tattoo forever, but I am a soccer player and my coaches would have killed me. Finally, the Spring of my senior year at Benedictine College came and I finally got it. I chose a quote from St. Benedict to symbolize all the amazing things I learned while attending school at Benedictine College.

It also serves as a reminder for myself to remember to be a good person, stay up with my own personal faith life, and earn a happy death.

When I was little the first thing that I would do would be to watch Beauty and the Beast. So I knew that when I wanted a Disney tattoo that it would be a Beauty and the Beast tattoo. I really loved Tim Shumate’s illustration of Belle, but my tattoo artist tweaked it a bit and I absolutely love it. My tattoo is on my right thigh. This pic was taken minutes after it was done by Jen from 808 tattoo in Kaneohe Hawaii. I hope you guys love it as much as I do :)
