The last tattoo I will be submitting ( I have others but they are unfinished) is my “Bringing Home The Bacon” tattoo by Amy Williams of Tenacious Tattoo.

I fell in love with Amy’s artwork and as she is an apprentice I have offered her skin to practice on, judging by this and the other pieces she has done since, she wont be an apprentice for much longer =]

Also, its bacon, I love bacon, it had to be done haha

First tattoo done at True Colours in Preston by the wonderful Tony Noble. This was taken straight after completion so it’s a bit red and swollen. It couldn’t have turned out more perfectly. :)

“Now that I have seen, I am responsible. Faith without deeds is dead.”

This is a quote from the song “Albertine” by Brooke Fraser. Earlier I had submitted a picture of my Africa tattoo…

Well this is the other side of my shoulder and I am fully living my life by this quote. It is beautiful and meaningful, and I love it.

The letters, I, respon, o, a,- are all done in red ink.. and they form a cross.

done by Clint at REDWING tattoo!

this is my 19th birthday gift to myself. i got it at Veritas Illumnia in Mays Landing, New Jersey by the amazing Joshua Hinchey. this is my second tattoo but first entry to fyeahtattoos. it’s located on my right upper thigh and has healed and even more vibrant and gorgeous than the picture. I got this because the full quote “be the one to guide me, but never hold me down”, is pretty much how I want people to treat me. I plan on getting the second part in January when I’ve saved up the cash.

This was my second tattoo.  Around 6 hours.  Connects perfectly with my first.  The conductor, small in the world, facing an ominous night completely unafraid of trying to arrange it all. He channels the spirit of the octopus, the quintessential multi-tasker, and stands there completely sure of himself as he faces both sea and sky.  Done by Brandon at Uptown Tattoo in Minneapolis.

This was my first.  It’s a few things.  First, I kayak a lot in Minneapolis.  The tree is one of my favorites in the chain of lakes.  The bull, Ferdinand, is an homage to Elliott Smith.  He helped me through a lot of times when I was younger.  The squirrel was a pet of mine that I had for about 6 years.  Loved him, he was a great guy and is still very missed.  Last, the J carved in the tree for my wife’s first name.  Done by Brandon at uptown tattoo in Minneapolis.

my beautiful russian doll, or matrioska.

I did it for my sisters, that’s why there are a J and a S. It stands for Julia and Sofia.

Two week old PJ Funnybunny, a character from a children’s book my parents read to me growing up. It’s on my left forearm; this is my first tattoo. Done by Steve Tiberi at Olde City Tattoo in Philadelphia.

I am in the process of getting this one finished. It is a replica of a bunny drawing from Miss Van, the Parisian graffiti artist. It’s only black and grey right now, but more detail will be added including lipstick, eye makeup and color for everything else. My artist is Real (James O. Real) from American Beauty Tattoo in Seal Beach, CA. The artist they have there are dedicated and amazing! This is probably the most painful tattoo I’ve had yet (and my left arm is covered), but only because of the technique. He dips the needle in ink, then water and goes over it several times to get a washed look for the shading. I can’t wait to see the finished product! The pain is worth it! I don’t have any meaning for this, it’s art, just for art’s sake. I love that it is soft, feminine and beautiful. Qualities that I long for…dearly hope that someone will see in me one day.
